On Day 3 we learned that he reason for less than expected crowds the previous day was due to a Bruins vs NY afternoon game! I am not a huge sports fan (except for a cider and the occasional ManU match) so having game disrupt something I find more important always throws me for a mental loop. One minute I think we are closer to all being on the same page and then I hear of a collective forming to partake in nitrate soaked hot dogs and disposable plastic cups and paper plates. Does the arena even recycle?! I might go to a game if they started serving organic hot dogs and served everything on/in corn pla compost-able serve ware. How great would that be?! Does anyone know if there are any green sports venues in the US? Or anywhere in the world for that matter? I digress....
Sunday finally saw some warmer spring like weather and while I didn't see much of the sun...I heard about it from everyone! Thanks to Logan and Sam for swinging by and bringing me beverages throughout the day! You were life savers for this girl. Being stuck in a booth all day without a break makes one desperate for iced chai!
With my thirst quenched, I began slashing prices! I did not want to take all of this back home and unload it again. Unheard of deals were had on Zukes treats, Scoopies, and the NEW Eco-Me Natural Dog/Cat Box Kits! Unfortunately we still had a lot to break down and schlep across town (Thanks Sam for your fancy smancy ways of fitting everything you can into a ZipCar! )
Overall we had a great time! We came in a bit under our target but made some great new friends, brought in some cool new product, and felt energized by the common goals of consumer responsibility and sustainability! We compiled a list of over 100 new email subscribers...one of whom will become the proud recipient of a "Green Your Pet- Eco Starter Kit". This is a prize package consisting of everything the owner will need to make the switch to an eco-pet. From bedding and treats to grooming products and leads.... we are going to set this person up! Thanks again to everyone who signed up at the event! Don't forget that we now have a twitter ... www.twitter.com/luckydogorganic !!! Sign up and follow us there too!
Thank you to everyone at d2e for a fun three days! We are looking forward to next year!
Please take a look at a few photos of some of our favorite "animals" from the event.....

First let me begin by saying that I owe Miss Bella major gifts for her tolerance these last few weeks as I have been getting ready for d2eBoston.. As she sits beside me, pouting and tentatively wagging her little stub, I realize how blessed I am. She truly is a kind and generous soul.... unless you are a female dog that she doesn't know and then she's a big snot. We can't all be perfect can we?
Now, the event to day was fun! Lot's of great people and pictures! Everyone sharing pictures of their poochies! The best sellers so far at the event have been the Zukes line! Second up have been the West Paw Zogoflex Hucks and Hurleys! With a fabulous guarantee against destruction (they replace it upon return AND follow a great cradle to cradle philosophy by melting all returned toys down and creating new toys from them! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!
Time for sleep. Tomorrow will be a busy day! We are offering intense sale this last day of the event. We just don't want to bring it all back to our "stock room" so everything will be priced to go!!! It will be worth the cheap price of admission to save big on cat, dog, and "small animal" (ferrets, rodents, bunnies, lizards, etc) products!!! PLUS by an eco-nap bed at the event and get free shipping! Get them as gifts for your friends and families! (HINT: They also make the most fabulous nap pads for pre-school aged kids. Don't share the germie covered nap pads at the school.... bring your own cushy eco one in a variety of amazing colors!)
Bella and I leave you with this great image from Newbury Street in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. Louie the dog took heel to a new level... he taught the kid how to do it and took his seat in the stroller! Louie might become C.E.O. of an important corporation someday with these management skills!
Goodnight.

It's that time! Earth Day is soon upon us and the great folks at Good For All, LLC bring us another amazing year of d2eBoston ! Last year we supplied some raffle prizes but this year...we decided to introduce Boston to the way of Lucky Dog Organics !
The crowd tonight was light. Heavy rain and a long exhausting week translated to a quiet way to start the event. We are happy with this however as it was an exhausting 2 days of load in and set up. Our custom copper pipe and water bottle bed rack came out AMAZING though! Thanks to Marie at Gifted for helping us wander the aisles of IKEA and Home Depot in search of a unique outside the box solution to hanging these great beds by West Paw Designs!
We also met some great new vendors and will soon be carrying pet shampoo by Vermont Soap Company and organic cotton t-shirts by Rock n' Roll K9 !
Now Bella and I are going to rest up as she has some fun play dates scheduled for tomorrow and I have a 10 hour day at the convention hall.
Swing on by if you are in the area of the Hynes Convention Center in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. Lucky Dog Organics will be there and would love you to bring her an Large Iced Rooibos from The Natural Bean on Newbury Street.
Goodnight everyone! ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz
